Tooth damage and decay can lead to negative cosmetic and physical effects. Left untreated, you may even need an extraction.

Show Me How the Procedure Works...

Dental crowns are essentially custom-made caps that are fixed directly on the surface of damaged teeth. Made from stain-resistant porcelain ceramic, crowns can last a decade or longer with proper care and oral hygiene.

Dental Crowns: Candidacy & Treatment

In this video, Dr. Mohamed Saccoh discusses dental crowns candidacy and the treatment process. You may be a candidate for a dental crown if you have a broken, chipped, or cracked tooth. Our office offers same-day dental crowns, so patients can have their tooth restored in one appointment.

I absolutely love how friendly and professional everybody is at FCI dental.  Dr. Mohamed is an amazing dentist, so friendly and funny and he knows what he is doing.  I would highly recommend anyone to him.  This is the best dentist I have ever been too! I have a fear of going to the dentist and get bad anxiety and  everyone was very kind, understanding and patient and made me feel so comfortable.

I have to say I was in bad shape when I first got to them and embarrased of my teeth but they made me feel so good and they didn't look down on me or judge me. And the teeth they fixed are so beautiful and I had absolutely no pain. They are really 10 stars and I recommend everyone to come here... I have been to a lot of different dentists and hands down the best experience I ever had. Now I can be healthy again with my beautiful teeth.

No Need for Specialists

Our dentist and his team can perform many kinds of dental procedures in-house, including dental implant surgery and attaching crowns, bridges, and dentures to those implants.

How Do I Know If I Need a Dental Crown?

While some dental problems are obvious, such as a missing tooth, other times, damage and decay will not present any noticeable symptoms. It is best to attend regular checkups with our dentist so we can spot and treat issues early on.

The Crown Procedure Timeline

Your beautifully customized crown will be created in about an hour while you relax in comfort. This way, there's no need for a temporary crown.
Your beautifully customized crown will be created in about an hour while you relax in comfort. This way, there's no need for a temporary crown.
After precise digital x-rays are taken of your damaged tooth, Dr. Saccoh will numb the area with a local anesthetic for your comfort. Calming sedation is available if you're feeling anxious.
Next, the affected tooth is reshaped with a special tool to remove decayed or damaged tissue. This will allow the crown to fit over the remaining healthy portion of the tooth.
Now, Dr. Saccoh will make 3-D digital impressions of your tooth and send it to our on-site CEREC milling machine. Your beautifully customized crown will be created in about an hour while you relax in comfort. No need for a second appointment or temporary crown.
Once the crown is ready, it will be inspected to make sure the shade and fit are as perfect as possible. When Dr. Saccoh is satisfied, he will bond the crown in place.

Crowns Support Dental Bridges

Crowns can also be placed over “anchor teeth” to effectively hold a dental bridge in place. Bridges not only restore the appearance of your teeth but improve your dental function, allowing you to chew properly and speak clearly. Meanwhile, the restorations balance your bite and prevent other teeth from shifting out of place, helping you avoid costly dental procedures in the future.
Traditional dental bridge
Dental bridges work to bridge the gap created by a missing tooth (or teeth).
